In simple terms
A peel applies an exfoliating solution to the skin to accelerate its renewal. By removing dead surface cells, it reveals smoother, more radiant skin, softens pigmentation, refines texture and smooths fine lines. Its depth is adjusted to your skin and your goals.
What we use, and why
We choose the type of acid and its concentration according to your skin and the concern targeted — radiance, pigmentation, texture or blemishes. This personalization allows precise action, from a light peel to a more pronounced renewal.
Performed in a supervised setting, the peel triggers a controlled renewal of the skin. The goal is not to damage but to stimulate the skin's natural regeneration, revealing clearer, more even and more radiant skin.
Is it right for you?
Who it’s for
For those who wish to soften pigmentation, even out the complexion, refine texture, smooth fine lines or improve skin marked by acne or sun. The type of peel is adapted to each skin.
Contraindications
Pregnancy and breastfeeding (depending on the acids), active infection or lesion, eczema or dermatosis on the area, recent use of certain actives. A skin assessment precedes every treatment, particularly for darker skin tones.
What this treatment cannot do
It does not add volume, relax expression lines or correct significant skin laxity. Deep pigmentation or pronounced scars may require complementary treatments.
Realistic expectations
The skin looks more radiant once flaking is complete. Results, especially on pigmentation, build over a series and are maintained with rigorous sun protection.
Preventive treatment
Regular light peels help maintain the skin's radiance and texture and limit the buildup of damage linked to time and sun.
Where this procedure takes place
The treatment takes place in our high-end medispa space, in a private setting that meets medical standards. It is performed by a qualified member of our team, following strict hygiene and sterilization protocols.
What happens, step by step
Before
We assess your skin and determine the appropriate peel. Preparation may be advised: pausing certain actives (retinoids, exfoliants) and avoiding the sun in the days before the treatment.
During
The skin is cleansed and degreased, then the solution is applied in one or more layers. A tingling or warming sensation is normal. The solution is then neutralized or removed. The treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes.
After
The skin may look pink and feel tight. Depending on the depth, flaking appears in the following days. It is essential not to pick at the skin and to protect it from the sun.
What to expect, and when
First few days
Redness and a tight feeling are normal. Flaking, more or less visible depending on the depth, usually begins after 2 to 3 days.
First few weeks
Once flaking is complete, the skin appears smoother and more radiant; pigmentation and texture improve gradually.
Result longevity
Results build over a series of peels and are maintained with daily sun protection. Aging and exposure, however, continue to act on the skin.
