What it is, simply
Blepharoplasty corrects excess skin on the upper eyelids and/or fat bags under the eyes, restoring a fresher, more rested look. It is intended for men whose drooping eyelids obstruct vision or give a tired appearance.
What we use, and why
An incision hidden in the natural eyelid crease (upper) or under the lashes / inside the eyelid (lower) allows removal of excess skin and/or fat.
Fine sutures close the incision, leaving a nearly invisible scar once healing is complete.

What happens, step by step
Before
A consultation assesses excess eyelid skin and fat, as well as general eye health.
During
Under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, a hidden incision allows removal of excess skin and/or fat. The procedure takes 1 to 2 hours.
After
Cold compresses are recommended during the first few hours to limit swelling, with clear instructions for eye rest.
What to expect, and when
First few days
Bruising and swelling are normal for 1 to 2 weeks.
First few weeks
Return to work after 7 to 10 days, once visible swelling has subsided.
Lasting results
A natural, long-lasting result, with a rejuvenated look that persists over time.
Recovery is part of the care
Restrictions
Avoid wearing contact lenses and strenuous physical effort during the first 2 weeks.
Recommended local care
Apply cold compresses as instructed, and keep incisions clean and dry.
