What it is, simply
This surgery increases the volume of the shoulders, biceps, or calves through autologous fat transfer or implants, depending on available donor fat and the desired outcome. It enhances flat or poorly defined muscle transitions despite training.
What we use, and why
For fat transfer, targeted muscle groups are identified, then fat is gently harvested through liposuction, purified using the U-GRAFT protocol, and precisely reinjected in micro-layers.
For lean patients with little available fat, a cohesive silicone implant is placed within or under the targeted muscle instead, offering an immediate, stable result independent of weight.
Is this right for you?
Who it's for
This surgery suits men with a lack of volume or asymmetry despite regular training, who wish for a more athletic, defined contour.
Contraindications
Uncontrolled bleeding disorders, active infections, or active smoking not paused before surgery.
What this procedure cannot do
This surgery does not increase actual muscle strength: it enhances visual volume and contour.
Realistic expectations
Firm, defined, symmetrical muscles. Results shift slightly with weight for fat transfer, and remain stable for implants.
Preventive care
This procedure is corrective: it adds muscle volume perceived as insufficient rather than preventing its loss.
Where this procedure takes place
This surgery takes place in an accredited operating facility, with a complete medical team including an anesthesiologist and qualified nursing staff. Sterilization and safety standards match those of a hospital setting.
What happens, step by step
Before
A consultation determines the appropriate technique (fat or implant) based on your fat reserves and goals.
During
Depending on the technique chosen, fat is harvested and reinjected, or an implant is placed in the targeted muscle. The procedure takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
After
A compression garment is recommended on treated areas, with clear instructions to limit strain on the affected limb.
What to expect, and when
First few days
Swelling and muscle tightness are normal during the first few days.
First few weeks
Return to work after 7 to 14 days, depending on activity; resume sports after 6 to 8 weeks.
Lasting results
A firm, defined, symmetrical result, long-lasting over time.
Recovery is part of the care
Restrictions
Avoid intensive training of the treated limb for 6 to 8 weeks. Wear the compression garment as prescribed.
Recommended local care
Keep incisions clean and dry, and follow the mobility guidelines provided by the medical team.
Warning signs
Fever, worsening pain, or unusual discharge should be reported to the medical team.
