What it is, simply
Buttock masculinization increases the projection and firmness of the glutes while preserving a masculine shape, distinct from the rounder curves sought in a female BBL. Two techniques are available: fat transfer (“Soccer Butt”), offering a natural, moderate result, or gluteal implants, for stable, immediate projection.
What we use, and why
Fat transfer harvests fat reserves (abdomen, flanks, thighs), purifies them, and reinjects them into the glutes for a natural, athletic result that changes with the patient's weight.
Cohesive silicone gluteal implants, placed within or under the gluteal muscle, suit lean patients with little fat available for harvesting, offering constant projection over time.
Is this right for you?
Who it's for
Fat transfer suits men with sufficient fat reserves seeking a natural, moderate result; implants suit lean patients seeking firm, immediate projection.
Contraindications
Insufficient fat reserves for fat transfer, uncontrolled bleeding disorders, or active smoking not paused before surgery.
What this procedure cannot do
Fat transfer changes with the patient's weight and may require a touch-up; implants do not resorb but require good-quality skin for an optimal result.
Realistic expectations
Firmer, more athletic gluteal projection, with results that vary by technique: moderate and changeable for fat transfer, stable and immediate for implants.
Preventive care
This procedure is corrective: it increases gluteal volume perceived as insufficient rather than preventing its decrease.
Where this procedure takes place
This surgery takes place in an accredited operating facility, with a complete medical team including an anesthesiologist and qualified nursing staff. Sterilization and safety standards match those of a hospital setting.
What happens, step by step
Before
A consultation determines the appropriate technique based on your fat reserves and goals. Certain medications must be avoided before surgery.
During
For fat transfer, gentle liposuction of donor areas is followed by purified reinjection into the glutes. For implants, an incision in the gluteal crease allows their placement. The procedure takes 2 to 3 hours.
After
A compression garment is fitted, with clear instructions on avoiding sitting during the first few days.
What to expect, and when
First few days
Swelling and bruising are normal, with discomfort well managed by medication.
First few weeks
Return to work after 7 to 10 days; resume sports after 6 to 8 weeks.
Lasting results
For fat transfer, the final result settles after 3 to 6 months. Implants offer stable projection once healing is complete.
Recovery is part of the care
Restrictions
Avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for about 2 to 3 weeks. Wear the compression garment as prescribed.
Recommended local care
Keep incisions clean and dry, and use a suitable cushion for sitting during the recovery period.
Warning signs
Fever, worsening pain, sudden asymmetry, or unusual discharge should be reported to the medical team.
